Hi-Tech Device Claims To Alert Dozing Drivers

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― We all know the dangers of drinking and driving, but driving while drowsy can be just as deadly. But a high-tech device claims to alert dozing drivers to pull over and get some rest.

Government figures show 1,500 people die and 65,000 are injured each year in drowsy driving accidents. The DD-850 by Attention Technologies uses infrared rays that can signal when your eyes get heavy, which triggers an alarm.
