Lives Interrupted: The Tokuda Story

(CBS 5) During graduation season, parents usually watch their children get diplomas. CBS 5's Wendy Tokuda watched her mother receive her college degree more than 60 years later. Her mother was held in a World War II Japanese internment camp when she was supposed to graduate.

Tama Tokuda was 21-years-old when the war broke out, a senior at the University of Washington. Now 87, she recalled her family losing it all and being forced to relocate at the Minidoka Internment Center in Idaho.
