SAN DIEGO (AP) ―
A last-second win over Eli Manning and the New York Giants has Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers at 5-3 and positioned for a second-half run.
San Diego ran its winning streak to three games when Rivers threw an 18-yard pass to Vincent Jackson with 21 seconds left to rally the Chargers to a 21-20 victory over the reeling Giants.
Rivers said Monday that it was the kind of game the Chargers hadn't been able to win this year.
He also said the Chargers have a lot of room for improvement, starting next Sunday when they host the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are coming off a 20-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Chargers are still chasing the Denver Broncos in the AFC West race.
