A Fairfield man is facing charges after his nine-year-old son was injured in a golf-cart accident.

Officers arrested 51-year-old Douglas Cyr on suspicion of drunken driving and other charges Friday night after witnesses reported he had collided with a vehicle, causing a boy to fall out of the cart.

Police say during their investigation, officers determined Cyr had hit two parked cars and fled the scene.

Cyr was arrested at his home.
