Caught On Video: Flight Attendant Drunk On Job

FAYETTE COUNTY, Kentucky (CBS) ― A flight attendant was arrested earlier this month for allegedly being drunk on the job and continues to wait for her day in court.

An attorney for Sarah Mills said he needs time to review surveillance video of the woman after she was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

That video shows the 26-year-old saying to jailers, "You guys are so dumb, all I did was get drunk." She asks to go home, and even curses. Later, in a holding cell, Mills is captured on tape crawling on the ground, pressing her face into the glass at the bottom of the door.

Police said on Aug. 5, passengers aboard an ASA flight, about to depart Lexington for Atlanta, alerted the pilot that they thought Mills was drunk. Court records show her blood alcohol was point-0-32 when she was arrested at Blue Grass Airport.

This is less than the legal driving limit of .08 and the FAA flying limit of .04. But it was enough for charges to be brought against her.

The FAA is also in possession of thevideo.

Mills is due back in court Sept. 11. She is charged with public intoxication and terrorist threatening for words she said to the pilot.
