A Marin County woman accused of using her 13-year-old son as a designated driver to avoid getting another DUI has pleaded not guilty.
Heather Choulos of Mill Valley is charged with child endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and allowing a minor to drive. She pled not guilty to all charges Oct. 15.
The 32-year-old was arrested after authorities say they spotted a Land Rover stopped in the middle of a major thoroughfare early last month and found the boy behind the wheel.
Police said Choulos and her boyfriend had multiple DUI arrests between them. The three were apparently returning from dinner at a San Anselmo restaurant.
Choulos is scheduled to return to court next month. Her boyfriend was not charged.
