People are willing to do almost anything in order to save money when vacationing. A growing online community lets people travel for less, by crashing on people's couches.

Founded in 2004, couchsurfing.com boasts 620,000 members in 231 countries. Much like other social networking sites, users build profiles where people rate each other. But members stress their hospitality is not to be taken advantage of.
