Everyone knows Mickey Mouse, but they don't know him like this. A new video game, set to be released in the fall of 2010, is
changing the iconic Disney character's demeanor.
This is not a drastic change for the character. Back when the mouse was introduced in the 20s, Mickey was a troublemaker. Game designer Warren Spector wanted to embrace this and create a game designed around Mickey's dark side, CNET reports.
The game will be called "Disney's Epic Mickey" and will be exclusively for Nintendo Wii.
CNET reports the game will feature a world of forgotten Disney characters, including one of Walt Disney's earliest stars, Oswald, who in the game becomes jealous of Mickey's success. Spector tells CNET that in the game, Mickey unknowingly destroys Oswalds comfort zone and must "face the consequences of what he was accidentally wrought."
"It's a game where we remind people that Mickey is a hero who solves problems by dynamically changing the world around him and deciding how to interact with the people and places and problems he encounters in this strange new world," Spector tells CNET.

Despite Mickey's new attitude, Spector tells CNET he's still the good guy. "I wanted to remind Mickey that it's OK to be mischievous and badly behaved."
