Le Tran: Oakland Scholar Makes Headlines

Vietnamese-American student goes from inner city to Ivy League

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― Le Tran came to the U.S. from Vietnam as a young child. Now, he has graduated from Oakland Technical High School and has been
accepted at one of the most exclusive colleges in the country- Brown
University.

Tran graduated from Oakland Technical High School this year.  He was
six-years-old when he came to the U.S. from Vietnam. He was recently featured in "The Oakland Tribune." You can read his story by clicking here.
