Marcus Williams Traded By Nets To Warriors
NEW YORK (CBS 5) ―
The New Jersey Nets have reportedly traded point guard Marcus Williams to the Golden State Warriors in exchange for a future first round draft pick.
The New York Post reported Tuesday that the Nets dealt Williams, 22, to the Warriors for a protected first-round pick in 2011.
The Connecticut product, selected 22nd overall by New Jersey in 2006, averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 assists in 16:06 per game for the Nets last season, his second in the league.
He will join a Golden State club that is still reeling from the loss of its star point guard Baron Davis, who opted out of the last year of his contract and signed with the Los Angeles Clippers.
