FREMONT (AP) ― Oakland A's owner Lew Wolff said he's frustrated by the lengthy approval process for his proposed baseball stadium in Fremont, but still believes the ballpark will be built in the Bay Area's fourth largest city.

Wolff's remarks on Thursday came a day after he publicly stated he wasn't sure if he would succeed in building the proposed 32,000-seat Cisco Field.

In November, the South Bay developer formally proposed a "Ballpark Village" on nearly 230 acres in Fremont that would include a high-tech stadium as well as a housing and retail development.

But the A's owner said he's troubled by the length of time it's taking to satisfy major property owners near the proposed stadium site and to complete an environmental review.
