Federal prosecutors said Thursday that a new indictment will be sought against baseball's home run king Barry Bonds.
Last month, a federal judge ruled the government didn't properly structure its charges that Bonds lied to a grand jury about past steroid use.
The U.S. Attorney's office said the government intends to "seek a superseding indictment" in the case.
The government believes Bonds lied in 2003 when he told a grand jury investigating the BALCO lab that he had never knowingly used performance-enhancing drugs.
