Australian singer-songwriter Peter Allen (Feb. 10, 1944 Jun. 18, 1992) had a stellar career in his native land and in the U.S. before he died of AIDS-related throat cancer. The Broadway hit "Boy From Oz," which starred Hugh Jackman, was the story of Allen's life. (AP)
