The Arrest Of Johannes Mehserle

The Alameda County District Attorney's Office has filed murder charges against former BART officer Johannes Mehserle in the shooting death of an unarmed man.

Mehserle was being held on charges related to the New Year's day shooting of an unarmed man on an Oakland, BART platform. Mehserle, 27, waived extradition to California early Wednesday January, 14, during a brief court appearance in Minden, Nev.,
