Bicycle Access on Bay Area Bridges

(CBS 5) Cyclists have access to five Bay Area bridges so far:

Antioch Bridge: bicycle access in both directions

Benicia-Martinez Bridge: new bike path on the west side, adjacent to southbound traffic

Carquinez Bridge: bike path on the west side, adjacent to southbound traffic

Dumbarton Bridge: bike path on the south side adjacent to eastbound traffic

Golden Gate Bridge: bikes allowed on the west side, adjacent to southbound traffic

San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge: bike lanes under construction on the new eastern span between Oakland and Yerba Buena Island

Richmond-San Rafael Bridge: no bike path

San Mateo-Hayward Bridge: no bike path

Caltrans reminds commuters there are buses that will carry you and your bike across bridges with no bike paths.
