DTV UPGRADES TO SUTRO TOWER ARE COMPLETE:
ALL OVER THE AIR TV'S SHOULD BE RESCANNED TO PICK UP STATIONS NOT CURRENTLY RECEIVED

San Francisco DTV upgrades to Sutro Tower are complete. All over the air televisions should be rescanned to pick up stations not currently received. The impacted stations are: KPIX (CBS 5), KRON, KTVU, KQED, KMTP, KCNS, KCSM, KBCW (The CW 44 Cable 12), KOFY, and KFSF.
Television viewers should be advised on the rescan steps:
1. Disconnect the antenna from your converter box
2. press menu on your remote and choose the channel scan function. This will erase the present memory.
3. Unplug the tv/converter and wait 5 minutes
4. Plug the unit back in back in, reconnect the antenna and press menu on your remote and choose the channel scan function a second time. Your tv set or converter box will then find all of the channels now available in your area.
The CBS 5 (KPIX) antennae is now 305 feet higher on Sutro tower and sending out a stronger over the air signal. After rescanning digital receivers for over the air televisions, viewers should now be able to receive our signal and our station.
