CBS 5 (KPIX-TV) Eyewitness News Launches 10pm
Newscast on The CW 44/Cable12 (KBCW-TV)
San Jose-Oakland-San FranciscoCBS 5 (KPIX-TV) Eyewitness News will launch a nightly 10 pm newscast on its sister station, The CW 44/Cable12 (KBCW-TV), beginning Monday, March 3. The newscast will be 30 minutes in length and will be broadcast in high definition.
Monday through Friday anchors will include CBS 5's 11 pm team of anchors Dana King, Ken Bastida, Dennis O'Donnell, sports director, and Roberta Gonzales, lead weather anchor. Saturday and Sunday nights include CBS 5's 11 pm team of anchor Ann Notarangelo and Lawrence Karnow, weather anchor. Rick Quan will be the sports anchor on Saturday nights and Dennis O'Donnell on Sunday nights.
"Viewers wanting news at 10 pm will now have a choice. We hope many of them will choose to watch our 30-minute newscast on The CW44cable12, which features the same award-winning group of broadcasters as our top-rated 11 pm news on CBS 5" said Vice President and News Director, Dan Rosenheim.
Viewers can watch the HD newscasts over the air on channel 44.1, on Direct TV on channel 44, and on Comcast Cable on channel 712 weeknights at 10 pm.
