LIVE, INTERACTIVE HIGH-DEF DOPPLER
CBS5.COM DEBUTS LIVE, INTERACTIVE HIGH-DEF DOPPLER
San Francisco, San Jose, and OaklandOctober 8, 2007 CBS 5 (KPIX-TV) has launched live, interactive High-Def Doppler radar on CBS5.com. This new interactive weather feature, which is believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, is the latest addition to CBS5.com, which earlier this year was named the Best Television News Web Site in California by The Associated Press.
CBS 5's Hi-Def Live Interactive Weather Map is always on, 24 hours a day and can be easily accessed by logging onto CBS5.com's homepage, cbs5.com, and clicking on the weather icon in the masthead.
The weather map features the ability to switch between regular radar and rain/snow view as well as the ability to animate the map. It also has advanced radar controls to fine-tune the radar map animation settings for the following selectors: frame delay, zoom, clutter, labels, rain/snow, and an experimental control for lightning.
