CBS 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS BROADCASTING IN HD

San Francisco , Oakland, San Jose - CBS 5 (KPIX)
CBS 5 Eyewitness News is now broadcasting all newscasts in high definition. Viewers can watch KPIX's HD newscasts over the air on channel 5.1, on Comcast cable channel 705 on DirecTV on channel 5.1 and on Dish Network on channel 5.1. Local prime access magazine show "Eye on the Bay" began broadcasting in HD in May of 2007. With the addition of the 27.5 hours of HD Eyewitness News per week, CBS 5 now originates 30 hours of local HD programming per week. In addition to the 30 local hours of HD programming, most of the CBS primetime schedule along with "The Young and the Restless" in daytime and "Late Show with David Letterman" at night are broadcast in full 1080i HD.CBS 5/The CW 44cable 12 are part of the CBS Television Stations
