CBS 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS AT 11 MOST WATCHED

San Francisco -- CBS 5 (KPIX) Eyewitness News at 11pm is the most watched newscast of any time period in the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose DMA. The Monday through Friday team of anchors Dana King, Ken Bastida, Chief Meteorologist Samantha Mohr and Sports Director Dennis O'Donnell finished as the #1 late night newscast. This marks the eighth consecutive victory at 11pm excluding Olympic sweep periods.
CBS 5 Eyewitness News at noon anchored by Barbara Rodgers and John Kessler and weather anchor, Roberta Gonzales was up 56% year to year and finished as the most watched midday newscast. In the early evening CBS 5 had strong second place finishes at 5pm and 6pm. Eyewitness News at 6am was up 25% year to year and finished in third place.
"The latest Nielsen report continues to show that we have the top rated newscast in the market, Monday through Friday at 11pm. We are most thankful to the Bay Area viewers who have repeatedly rewarded us with their viewing support at 11pm and we are especially grateful as this preference is expanding in our other news broadcasts at 6am, noon and 5pm," said President and General Manager, Ron Longinotti.
