Kennedy To Work From Cape Home Through Fall

BOSTON (CBS) ― Sen. Edward Kennedy will be working from home through the fall as he continues treatment for brain cancer, the Cape Cod Times reported.

Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in May and has since undergone surgery and six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

According to the Cape Cod Times, while Kennedy's doctors are pleased with his progress, he intends to wait until January to return to the Senate floor.

Kennedy made an appearance in Denver for the Democratic National Convention.

In July, he made an unexpected appearance in Washington, D.C., to vote on a long-stalled Medicare legislation.

Kennedy was diagnosed with brain cancer after he suffered a seizure in May.
