California Dream Tarnished To Many Residents

The old California Dream has always been in Technicolor in the minds of many Californians. But with the changing years and declining economic fortunes, the Golden State seems tarnished with so many people.
According to a Los Angeles Times / USC poll, just 14 percent of Californians think the state is going in the right direction while a whopping 80 percent do not. Some blame the gridlock in Sacramento for the state's problems. Others think there are outside forces to blame, such as the national economy. Political observers such as CBS 5's Joe Tuman say the public's wrath might fall on incumbent politicians when election time comes.
