Attorney General Jerry Brown said he's in no rush to pick up where San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom left off, after he dropped out of the Governor's race last week.
At a power breakfast Tuesday morning, Brown joined current Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, along with a pair of Republican candidates, Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner and former Congressman Tom Campbell.
Brown said he is not declaring his candidacy quite yet.
"We're here talking and there's a bunch of candidates here. But I think we got plenty of time. I think you can get tired of the candidates," Brown said. "I've been in campaigns and I've had the experience of running out of things to say after you've said the same thing 25 times. There is plenty of time to discuss every aspect, to make mistakes, to say interesting things, to be boring. I don't see the big rush. And yes, I am raising money and talking to campaign strategists."
But Brown said he is not ready to officially declare his candidacy so far, despite the fact that he's raised over $7 million so far.
