Oakland Administrator Receives Money After Firing

OAKLAND (CBS 5) ― Former Oakland City Administrator Deborah Edgerly was fired earlier this month, but she's going to walk away with a fair amount of cash.

Edgerly was accused of using information she got through her position with the city to warn her nephew about a gang raid, but she will not only get a pension worth about $150,000 a year, she'll also be able to cash out her accrued vacation, management, executive and sick leave time, totaling more than $90,000.

The San Francisco Chronicle also recently reported that she allegedly got summer jobs for her own kids who were paid even after not showing up for the jobs.
