Hippo Heist A Mystery In SF Richmond District

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) ― Where do you hide a stolen hippopotamus? That's what one San Francisco family is trying to figure out after a sculpture weighing more than 400 pounds was stolen from in front of their San Francisco Richmond District home.

By all accounts, Thommus was a happy hippo. But he was made of bronze, which could fetch a dollar a pond at a metal recycler. In his video report, Mike Sugerman looks one San Francisco family's search to get their hippo back before he is dismantled.
