SJ Woman's Death Raises Leash Law Questions
Linda Yee, Reporting.
SAN JOSE (CBS 5) ―
A San Jose woman's death has raised questions about the city's leash laws. The mother of three died after being tripped up by a cyclist, on a trail with his dogs.
62-year-old Beverly Head was entangled in a leash as a bicyclist with two dogs tried to pass her on the Los Alamitos Creek Trail. Neighbors say her brain swelled and was taken off life support. Head's husband is questioning the safety of the trail and has asked the San Jose City Council to ban the practice of bicyclists riding alongside their dogs.
