Pricy Bay Area Pet Beds Test Spending Trends

SAN ANSELMO (CBS 5) ― In an economy that's going to the dogs, some local pets aren't losing any sleep.

One survey said Americans will spend $43 billion on pets this year, up 5 per cent in these bad times. One line of products prompting pet owners to splurge is a line of pet beds priced up to $250.

In his video report, Mike Sugerman talks to the creator of the company known as Neko Habitat, and finds one pet owner who thinks the beds are a bargain.

Users can find songs using a standard Google search.
