Sonoma Co.: Adopt A Cat Or Kitten For $30
SANTA ROSA (BCN) ―
The Sonoma County Animal Shelter is putting more than 150 cats and kittens on sale for $30 each Saturday.
Cats may be purchased in Santa Rosa at the Sonoma County Animal Shelter, Western Farm Center or Animal Farm; in Windsor at B & G Pets; and in Rohnert Park at 49er Pets.
The $30 adoption fee includes feline leukemia testing, vaccinations, spray or neuter surgery, microchip, identification tag and travel box.
The one-day sale is part of an effort by the Sonoma County Animal Care and Control, which operates the shelter, to increase placement and reduce euthanasia, according to shelter supervisor Cathy Fenn.
"We hope this special adoption price will be just the incentive needed to add a new pet to your family," she said in a statement.
