Marin Realtors To Notify Buyers Of Moth Spraying

SAN RAFAEL (AP) ― Marin County real estate agents plan to discuss with future home buyers the state's plans to spray pesticides to combat the spread of the light brown apple moth.

The Marin Association of Realtors voted Tuesday to amend their disclosure advisory forms to inform future buyers about a likely aerial campaign to combat the invasive pest this summer.

The agents will also advise home buyers to consult a doctor for more information about the spraying campaign before closing a deal.

Analysts say the spraying probably won't have any lasting impact on the real estate market, but some attorneys believe disclosure is wise to ward off potential lawsuits.
