Santa Cruz Co. Bird Tests Positive For West Nile
SCOTTS VALLEY (BCN) ―
West Nile virus was detected for the first time this year in Santa Cruz County when a dead bird found in Scotts Valley on July 29 tested positive for the virus.
Santa Cruz County Mosquito and Vector Control technicians have been sent to the site to target mosquito-breeding sources in the area, according to county officials.
No human cases have been reported in the county.
