Pro Poker Player Arrested For Sex Trafficking

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (CBS) ― A local professional poker player sent straight to jail and accused of selling teenage girls for sex.

"He was really sweet and sensitive," says Leilani Neal.

"They loved Aaron. They really did," says Katrina, a close family friend.

Most people in this Fairfield, Calif. apartment complex say 23-year-old Aaron James Vaughn is loved and admired.

But the FBI says he led a secret life of sex trafficking young girls from multiple counties in the Central valley, and even across the Nevada stateline.

He's facing numerous counts of recruiting, coercing and prostituting the minors dating back to 2002.

"I heard about all of it and it grieved my heart," Diana Neal.

Diana Neal is shocked because she often took Vaughn to church for bible study.

"Walked with the Lord a while and kind of getting sidetracked. I heard about what he got in to and that saddens my heart," she says.

"I guess he went girl crazy and it led him down this road," says Leilani Neal.

Some teens say Vaughn's got a lot of charm.

"I guess it attracted the girls. Plus he had a cute smile and had his game and all that," she explains.

Apparently, Aaron was a very popular young man in his apartment complex. According to family members a lot of young ladies used to flock to him.

"Those little girls used to chase Aaron," says Katrina.

CBS station KOVR-TV in Sacramento visited Aaron's home, where Katrina a family friend lives as well, and she believes the girls led Aaron astray.

"It was always the boys drinking, the boys doing drugs. It's the girls now. It's the girls having a lot of sex. Its girls on girls now. So what can you say," Katrina explains.
