Possible Sexual Assault At Playboy Mansion

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― Los Angeles police say they are investigating a possible sexual assault at Hugh Hefner's famous Playboy Mansion.

According to an LAPD statement, the probe was launched Monday.

LAPD spokesman Jason Lee says "For reasons of law and confidentiality that are critical in such investigations, no additional information will be released."

A spokesman for Playboy Enterprises says the company has not been contacted by authorities and does not know what prompted the investigation.

The mansion, located in Holmby Hills in West Los Angeles, is well known for hosting exclusive parties and events on its sprawling grounds.
