NEW YORK (CBS) ― CBS station WCBS-TV in New York has learned a man was arrested Wednesday for witness tampering in the Sean Bell case.

The suspect has been identified as Melvin Cordero. Cordero has apparently been charged with one count of witness tampering and one count of intimidating a witness in the trial that led to three police officers being indicted.

Cordero is a cleaner with Meridian Cleaners and works at the Air Train station in Jamaica. He was arrested Wednesday afternoon and is expected to be indicted later today.

Sean Bell was shot and killed in November outside of Queens strip club.
