3 Dead, 5 Hurt In Oakland, SF, Antioch Violence
OAKLAND (CBS 5 / BCN) ―
Three people died and five others were injured in weekend shootings and stabbings across the Bay Area, police said.
In Oakland:
One man died from multiple gunshot wounds Sunday morning and a woman was transported to the hospital with major injuries but no suspects were arrested. Officers responded to the 1800 block of 89th Avenue just before 3 a.m. where they found the two victims.
Two people died in what may have been a double murder or a murder and suicide Saturday. The shooting was reported around 3 p.m. in the 1800 block of 25th Street.
In San Francisco:
One stabbing was reported at 11:35 p.m. on Saturday at Harrison and 26th streets. A second stabbing was reported at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at 11th and Folsom streets. And a shooting was reported just after 2 a.m. Sunday in the Glen Park neighborhood at Ney and Trumbull streets. All three victims were uncooperative and transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
In Antioch:
A 21-year-old Antioch man was in critical condition at John Muir Medical Center on Sunday after being found shot multiple times Saturday about 11:38 p.m. in the 2300 block of Spanos Street. Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call police at (925) 778-2441.
