Vacaville Suspect Leads High Speed Chase, Crashes
VACAVILLE (BCN) ―
A suspected Target store burglar led Vacaville police on a high-speed chase and crashed into a fence before a K-9 found him and a passenger hiding, police said.
Jason Antonovoch, 34, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, assault, evading officers and a hit-and-run around 10:45 a.m. in the 600 block of B Street in Elmira.
Antonovoch hit a bystander's vehicle and attempted to hit an officer in the Target parking lot while driving away from the scene of the robbery, according to the Police Department.
Officers tried to stop him at gunpoint, but police said he kept driving up to 75 mph to Elmira, where he lost control and hit a fence.
Solano County sheriff's deputies and the California Highway Patrol helped officers set a perimeter, where the K-9 named Koda found Elmira resident Antonovoch and Vacaville resident Robert Laroski Jr., 33, hiding.
Laroski was also arrested, but on suspicion of violating parole and obstructing officers.
