Car Hits Teen Skateboarder In Napa County

POPE VALLEY (BCN) ― A teenager was injured after being struck by a vehicle while skateboarding in unincorporated Napa County's Pope Valley area Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The male victim, who is about 18 years old, was skateboarding in the area of Howell Mountain and Pope Valley roads when the vehicle hit him at about 3:20 p.m., CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

The victim suffered major injuries and an emergency helicopter transported him to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, according to Caggiano.

Caggiano did not know if anyone in the vehicle was injured.
