Napa Teacher Arrested On Child Molestation Charges
NAPA (BCN) ―
A Napa teacher will be arraigned in Sonoma County Superior Court this morning for allegedly sexually molesting and committing a lewd act with a boy since he was 14.
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Department said Josefat Estrada Jr., 35, was arrested at his Napa home Sunday morning. The alleged incidents were reported to Sonoma police on June 25 and they occurred between 2005 and 2007, Sgt. Glenn Lawrence said.
None of the incidents occurred while Estrada was teaching at the school. The sheriff's department did not say where Estrada taught. The Napa Unified School District did not immediately return a call for comment.
Lawrence said Estrada was a trusted family friend of the victim's family. "It's not related to the school," Lawrence said.
Estrada was booked into the Sonoma County jail on eight counts of oral copulation of a minor, oral copulation of a minor unconscious of the act and one count of committing a lewd act on a child. His bail is $350,000.
