State Highway 84 in Alameda County just outside of Pleasanton was shut down for a time during the Monday morning commute because of a taco truck fire.
The California Highway Patrol said the fire was reported about 5:50 a.m. and blocked both sides of the 2-lane highway. Shortly after, CHP officers started alternating traffic through one open lane, said CHP Officer Kevin Kroncke.
A Sig-alert was issued at about 6:30 a.m. and was canceled at 7:43 a.m. Both lanes were reopened by 8 a.m.
The taco truck driver was on the scene but no injuries were reported, according to CHP Officer Tracy Hoover.
