South San Francisco PD Warn Of Phone Scam
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) ―
South San Francisco police Friday warned of a possible phone scam seeking bank account information from unsuspecting residents.
Police said they've received several phone calls from residents complaining about automated phone calls with messages that the residents' bank debit card has been compromised.
The calls ask for residents to enter their account number and PIN number to verify the account information.
Police advised residents the calls are fraudulent and they should not respond to them.
