Twins Plead Not Guilty In Sonoma Co. Fair Stabbing
SANTA ROSA (BCN) ―
Two brothers pleaded not guilty in Sonoma County Superior Court Monday to the alleged gang-related injury stabbing of a 13-year-old boy at the Sonoma County Fair last week.
19-year-old twins Fabian and Damian Rosales of Geyserville pleaded not guilty to assault with a deadly weapon, battery and participating in a criminal street gang in connection with the July 22 stabbing. Police said the victim is a rival gang member.
The brothers also are charged with enhancements alleging the assault and battery inflicted bodily harm and were in furtherance of the gang.
A preliminary hearing was set for Aug. 8. Judge Kenneth Gnoss raised the brothers' bail to $85,000 and scheduled a bail hearing for Wednesday.
The boy was stabbed in the leg and had surgery at a hospital. The Rosales brothers were arrested at the fair two days later.
