Coroner Searches For Deceased Man's Family

SANTA ROSA (CBS 5 / AP / BCN) ― The Sonoma County coroner's office is trying to locate the family of Candelario Montezuma Garcia, a 41-year-old man who was found dead in Santa Rosa almost one month ago.

Garcia had been homeless for up to five years in the Santa Rosa area before he was found dead June 5, according to the coroner's office.

He may have lived in the Gilroy and Merced area prior to Santa Rosa, also without a home.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mark Provost at the Sonoma County coroner's office at (707) 565-5070. The case reference number is 08-0000722.
