DUI, Drug Arrest Following Solano Co.Police Chase

 CBS 5 CrimeWatch

FAIRFIELD (BCN) ― A 53-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after leading authorities on a short pursuit from Vacaville to Fairfield on westbound Interstate Highway 80, according to Vacaville police.

Ken Rhea was arrested after a Vacaville police officer tried to make a traffic stop on Highway 80 near Lagoon Valley Road at about 7:05 p.m.

Rhea allegedly failed to yield to the officer, and continued driving west in the far right lane at speeds between 40 and 55 mph.

The California Highway Patrol and Fairfield police assisted in the pursuit, and the CHP finally stopped the vehicle on Highway 80 at Suisun Valley Road in Fairfield, according to police.

Rhea was taken into custody and turned over to Vacaville police, who booked him into Solano County Jail on charges of possession of cocaine, failure to yield to a police vehicle, and driving under the influence, police said.
