Daly City Man Shot Dead Near I-280 In SF

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5 / BCN) ― A Daly City man died at a hospital about half an hour after being shot in San Francisco near Interstate Highway 280 Saturday evening, authorities said.

The San Francisco medical examiner's office on Sunday identified the victim as 34-year-old Juan Rodriguez.

Officers responded to the shooting at Laura Street and Huron Avenue around 5 p.m. and found Rodriguez, a resident of Daly City, suffering gunshot wounds, police said.

Rodriguez was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to police.

No arrests have been made, police said.
