Robber Shoots North Bay Market Employees; 1 Dead

Santa Rosa police said two employees of Bill's Friendly Market at 817 Russell Ave. were shot, one of them fatally, during a robbery Monday night.
Sgt. Lisa Banayat said the shootings were reported at 11:48 p.m. One of the employees was dead when police arrived and the other had a life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to an area hospital.
Banayat said no suspects are in custody and crime scene investigators were still at the market Tuesday morning.
An employee of the Fast & Easy Market on Old Redwood Highway north of Santa Rosa was shot Saturday at 4:15 a.m.
The clerk told the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department a lone gunman entered the store and shot him several times before robbing him. The clerk's wounds were not life-threatening, the sheriff's department said.
The suspect is a Hispanic male, approximately 35 years old, 5 feet 9 inches with a medium to heavy build and has dark hair, Lt. Scott Dunn said.
