1 Arrested, 2 Sought In Santa Rosa Home Robbery
SANTA ROSA (BCN) ―
Santa Rosa police arrested one of three men suspected of stealing cash and jewelry from an occupied home on Mesquite Drive in Bennett Valley early Tuesday morning.
Investigators identified Santa Rosa resident Justin Tyme Stimson, 21, as a suspect in the robbery, found him later that night during a traffic stop and detained him at Hearn and Dutton avenues, police said.
Residents said the suspects had entered the house around 1:45 a.m. in the 2200 block of Mesquite Drive, demanded money and forced their way into a bedroom, Sgt. Michael Chad Heiser said.
One of the suspects was armed and struck a 21-year-old man in the head with a gun, Heiser said. He was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and released.
The suspects were gone by the time officers arrived.
According to police, detectives found a firearm, illegal narcotics and evidence of narcotic sales in Stimson's home in the 1400 block of Gloria Drive.
He is also a documented gang member, police said.
The two remaining suspects are still at large.
Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident is asked to call Santa Rosa police at (707) 543-3590.
