San Quentin Death Row Inmate Dies

SAN QUENTIN (CBS 5 / BCN) ― Prison authorities say a San Quentin inmate condemned to die for the early morning murder of an East Oakland couple has died of natural causes.

According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Cedric Seth Harrison, 53, died at an outside hospital facility Thursday morning. The announcement was made that night.

Harrison was sent to San Quentin's death row after he was convicted for the 1987 murders of Leroy Robinson and Betty Thompson, according to prison authorities.

Harrison was sentenced to death in Alameda County on Aug. 30, 1993.
