The strip malls and shopping centers near Story and McLaughlin Roads has one of the highest concentrations of Vietnamese-owned businesses in San Jose.

A proposal to create a new business district in San Jose has fired up emotions in the Vietnamese community over what to name it.
Some in the community want to call the are near Story and McLaughlin Roads as "Little Saigon." But San Jose's only Vietnamese-American on the council is not so sure.
