San Jose Police Investigate Discovery Of Remains
SAN JOSE (CBS 5 / AP) ―
San Jose police are investigating the discovery of human remains found in a rural stretch of land at the edge of the city.
Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said a person walking along a roadway in the area called police to report what appeared to be bones.
When officers responded they found the remains were attached to what Lopez described as a "partially unearthed skull."
Lopez said investigators have concluded the remains belonged to an adult, but have been unable to determine the age or gender. Officials have not been able to determine how long ago the remains were buried, but have determined they were not part of a Native American burial site.
