Serial Burglar Strikes San Jose Homes
SAN JOSE (BCN) ―
San Jose police are warning residents to take caution at night because of a string of burglaries between 1 and 5 a.m. over the last month.
The burglar apparently usually enters an open window or cuts or removes screens to get inside. The suspect typically steals wallets, purses, cash and other small valuables, according to the Police Department.
Police are recommending that residents lock and secure doors and windows, add security lighting and motion detector lighting, trim plants that block the view of windows, consider burglary alarms, hide wallets and purses, report suspicious activity and look out for neighbors.
Anyone with information on recent burglaries in the Cambrian area is asked to call the San Jose Police Department at (408) 277-4401. Anonymous callers can call (408) 947-STOP which is (408) 947-7867.
