San Jose Man Arrested In Apartment Assault

A 49-year-old San Jose man was arrested early Monday morning on charges of allegedly assaulting another man with a deadly weapon, according to police Officer Jose Garcia.

The assault was reported at about midnight Sunday at an apartment complex in the 400 block of South 4th Street.

Arriving officers found a 42-year-old man badly beaten and lying in the hallway of the apartment complex, police said.

The victim, a resident of San Jose, was transported to a local hospital where he is considered to be in stable condition.

The suspect, Dave Larson, was located inside the victim's apartment and booked into county jail.

Garcia said police are investigating the motive behind the assault.
